Skies of Fire

So I decided to do the Skies of Fire one after giving it some thought. I finally thought up a plot for it after telling myself that the skies being on fire didn't have to happen in the beginning. So far I have a basic idea of about three characters, the culture of the world it happens in, and perhaps the government. Oh, and though it is cliche, I also have a prophecy in it, that goes as follows:

When the skies burn as if on fire the battle to determine the fate of the world will scream across the earth. Three noble warriors who will be known and loved by all will come forth to fight the battle, yet should they choose not to fight, the world will be torn asunder and all will be lost.

I'm still not sure about a lot of things, but that is what insomnia is for. While I am calling it skies of Fire, that is only a working title, and once more of the plot happens, I will perhaps give it a better title.

It's Almost November!

You know what that means right? It means that it's almost time for National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo for short!

If you don't know, let me explain. NaNoWriMo is where all November long you are striving to pump out a 50,000 word novel. For nerds like me, it is great fun. For more information, check out http://www.nanowrimo.org/.

Last year I wrote The True Story of Roswell, New Mexico (A Blatant Fiction). I had been planning it for months before NaNoWriMo and so last year was a success. This year is different. I still am unsure of what to write.

There are a few ideas, but I'm not sure which to choose or if any of them will be able to produce 50,000 words. They are as follows:

A Super Smash Brothers Brawl fanfic. I've wanted to do one for a while now, and NaNoWriMo would be the perfect opportunity and would pretty much ensure that I would finish, but I'm not sure how it would turn out.

Night Guardian. A knight who guards the castle of some kingdom by night with his special abilities to travel by shadow. This is just something I think about as I lay down trying to fall asleep. I'm not sure how plot worthy it is.

Skies on fire. I can't remember where this idea stemmed from, but basically I have an image of the skies on fire and a worried people looking up at the fire knowing that terrible things are coming. But see, that's all that this idea has going for it so far. At least the other idea's have plot bunnies, this is just a picture in my head. But its a picture that I sooooo want to write out and give a story too. I'm, just stumped as to what the story should be.

I also kind of want to write something with dragons. But then again, I always want to write something with dragons.

So what think ye? Any input?

I also fiddled around with the layout colors to make them less depressing. I don't know what I was thinking with the previous colors really. Any input on this would also be appreciated.
